Multimedia

First I'd like to start out defining the word multimedia. Multimedia is media and content that uses many different content forms.
Now I'm going to answer the question "what type of multimedia can designers add to a website?"
-You can add videos, pictures, and audios to your website. This keeps the reader or viewer interested, you can show how things change over time or you can show how things work or how they are done. Thia is so crucial to the website because you don't want your viewer to get bored or tired of your website because why create a website if no one is going to use it?
Next I will answer "what influences the effectiveness of each type in conveying the website message?"
-Well say you want a creepy looking website if you were to add music you wouldn't add Disney music you wold want to add creepy music. So what influences it is what the theme of the website is.
Finally I am going to answer "what must designers consider when creating and using various multimedia in a website?"
-When using various multimedia in a website you should always be thinking about the viewers. You should be thinking what others want to see. If the website is appealing and what they want then they will want to use this website. If the website is unattractive users probably wont want to use it. You should also think about flow. The website should flow well. You should have a balance of media and words. You don't want your website to bore the viewer but you want to get your point across so a mix will keep the viewer attracted and continue reading and using the website.
